Happy New Year!

So Long 2019, Hello 2020!

Each year we have an opportunity to show ourselves who we want to be, who we are. Goals we aspired to achieve and achieved. Each year we find out how much more we love and accept ourselves. 2019 was definitely a year of growth, overcoming obstacles and realizing how much potential I actually held. Going into 2020, whoo! The new roaring ’20s, super excited, I wish nothing but love and positivity for everyone. I want more opportunities, good health, new friends and of course more adventures for you all. Be brave, have fun, make 2020 your year. I also want to thank everyone for starting off this blogging journey with me! I can’t wait to write more. Be safe my lovelies. Happy New Year!

”We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year’s Day.”

“Probably the reason we all go so haywire at Christmas time with the endless unrestrained and often silly buying of gifts is that we don’t quite know how to put our love into words.”

“My brothers and sisters, may the spirit of love which comes at Christmastime fill our homes and our lives and linger there long after the tree is down and the lights are put away for another year.”

Merry Christmas Eve!

T’was The Night Before Christmas With A Fire Safety Twist

T’was the Night Before Christmas

And all the through the house,
Everyone was sleeping, even the mouse.
When all of a sudden, there appeared some light smoke, then the smoke alarm sounded and everyone woke. Off in the distance a fire began to grow, when all of a sudden it began to slow. Then what to my wondering eyes did appear? A group of firefighters, in full turnout gear! And I heard one exclaim to the others with a shout. “THIS HOME HAS SPRINKLERS! THE FIRE IS OUT!” As they drove away, they were all full of cheer, that the sprinklers work every day of the year.

One of my fire inspector shared this little poem at work. I hope you get a kick out of it like we did!

Merry Christmas Eves Eve

Traditionally my family will celebrate Christmas Eves Eve with a family party! Usually one of my aunties will throw a HUGE family party and we celebrate with good food, fun drinks and a Christmas gift exchange. This year it’s a little different since today fell on a Monday, still a workday. So instead we’re moving it to tomorrow and will celebrate on Christmas Eve which is a little different but still fun none the less. Will there be a gift exchange like The White Elephant? Who knows? Either way we will be decked out in cheer, toasting to the holidays and singing Christmas songs at the top of our lungs!

What are some of your Christmas or Holiday traditions?

“Christmas is the season of joy, of holiday greetings exchanged, of gift-giving, and of families united.”

– Norman Vincent Peale
