Monday’s are for Coffee

Coffee and work

Starting off the week with coffee is honestly my happy place. Working in EMS, we sometimes rely on that need of caffeine. Not saying it’s a good thing, but it helps us make the shift more enjoyable. I start early so I need that little boost. Getting to work by 7 am is rough sometimes and then we don’t know when our day exactly ends just a rough estimate. So coffee tends to help.

Usually I will make my Green Tea or Breakfast Tea in the morning and by the time I get to work I try to find a coffee shop to go grab a coffee. This week though, I am going to try something a little different, a little healthier. I have a Keurig at home, copious amounts of coffee, creamer and little extras. Why have I been spending all my money at coffee shops? We usually go to Starbucks because there are tons of them in my area. I just recently looked at the calories and sugars in certain drinks and….oh boy I was shocked…🀯 some of the coffees that I drank had as much sugar as a soda!

With that realization I am going to be trying my hand at making my “fancy coffees” at home this week, as a test run. Then hopefully I can keep this up and when I feel like coffee I’ll continue to make it at home.
