Never Forget

On this day 20 years ago America was forever changed. May we always remember the courage and bravery shown by the men and women lost in these attacks. Take a moment of silence out of your day to reflect and remember what happened. 💚 Kat

“Even the smallest act of service, the simplest act of kindness, is a way to honor those we lost, a way to reclaim that spirit of unity that followed 9/11.” — Barack Obama

“Time is passing. Yet, for the United States of America, there will be no forgetting September the 11th. We will remember every rescuer who died in honor. We will remember every family that lives in grief. We will remember the fire and ash, the last phone calls, the funerals of the children.”

— George W. Bush

“You can be sure that the American spirit will prevail over this tragedy.”

— General Colin Powell

Happy Blogging Anniversary!

I was informed today by the lovely WordPress that it is my One Year Anniversary on creating my blog. I can’t believe it honestly. I would have never started and shared this journey if it wasn’t for my amazing boyfriend Chris and his support with me. I just want to say a big thank you for everyone who follows me and stops by to share in this adventure. I can’t wait to keep writing and hopefully inspiring those who read my adventures in life. Stay safe, stay fun, stay curious. 💚

D-Day

D-Day, June 6th 1944. More than 160,000 allied troops landed on the beaches of Normandy France to fight against the Nazi’s of Germany. Many men lost their lives this day fighting for freedom. This was the largest amphibious assault led to this day. We honor and remember the greatest sacrifice that was made for our freedom. Allied forces fought bravely and ferociously to establish a foothold through the fighting. June 6th, 1944 was the beginning of the end of a war.

“Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is well-trained, well equipped and battle-hardened. He will fight savagely…I have full confidence in your courage, devotion to duty and skill in battle. We will accept nothing less than full Victory! Good Luck! And let us all beseech the blessing of Almighty God upon this great and noble undertaking.”

– General Dwight D. Eisenhower, Supreme Allied Commander
