Happy New Year

Goodbye 2020, Hello 2021?

This year has been a whirlwind of emotions for myself and I’m pretty sure the same for a lot of people. This year was filled uncertainty, fear, loss but also with love and determination to get through it. It was tough and filled with many ups and downs. From the happy times of graduating Navy Corpsman school, getting a new EMT job, being able to visit Chris a few times, being overly excited about becoming an Auntie to my friends having babies, finally finishing up my Associates in Fire Technology all while still being able to celebrate holidays with family and keeping our health including Rex. Some of the heartbreaking times of this year for me was losing my beloved Monkee after 15 years, seeing the world become sick and dying. It has been a year of stress, no doubt. I have grown and and I will continue to grow in 2021. Another year to love and learn.

Some goals for next year:

  • Keep positive even in trying times.
  • Continue to learn
  • Be accepted into Nursing school
  • Keep getting healthier
  • Work more and be more dedicated to my blog
  • Get back into streaming video games
  • Still continue to keep myself and my family’s health a priority
  • Go hiking and adventuring more

Today on New Years Eve, I will be sitting back doing a movie marathon with Chris and the family all while ringing in the new year quietly and safely with dinner and champagne. What are some of your goals or resolutions for the New Year? Happy New Year’s everyone! May you stay safe and positive. See you in 2021!

World Chocolate Day

Who would have thought July 7th was known as World Chocolate Day? I know I didn’t before. Today celebrates all the delicious and yummy types of chocolate, so you better get your sweet tooth ready.

Kit-Kat is one of my all time favorites.

What are some of your all time favorite types of chocolate? Down below is more tasty information about chocolate.

Fourth of July Twenty-Twenty

Happy 244th Birthday America. May our Freedom forever ring.

“Then join hand in hand, brave Americans all! By uniting we stand, by dividing we fall.”

– John Dickinson

Have a happy and safe Fourth of July everyone. Remember fireworks in some states and counties are illegal, also remember we only have one body. So, be careful if you do decide to use them. Being in EMS this is where we see some very painful injuries. COVID-19 is still raging throughout so wear a mask and wash your hands. Enjoy some food and down time. Happy 4th of July America! 🎇

Happy Birthday to Me!

Well it’s the big 27 for me. This year has gone by slowly but quickly at the same time. Learned a new trade, started this blog, made some new friends and enjoyed it. Celebrating with my family and friends today. So Happy Birthday to me, onto more fun, more adventures and more things to learn. 💚🎂

Armed Forces Day

Today is a celebration for our brothers and sisters, the men and women who have signed up to protect us and this country. This is for those who are currently serving and those who have served. If you would like to read and learn more about this, click the button below.

“Word to the Nation: Guard zealously your right to serve in the Armed Forces, for without them, there will be no other rights to guard.”

Happy Birthday Mom!

“Families are the compass that guides us. They are the inspiration to reach great heights and our comfort when we occasionally falter.”

 – Brad Henry

Celebrating a Birthday during a Pandemic may look a little unconventional. Even though it might be a little different you can still celebrate and have fun. Today I celebrated my Moms Birthday with my family over a thousand miles away. My mom and dad still decorated the house with our birthday signs and my mom wore the traditional “Birthday Hat.” I’m glad we can still find ways to celebrate and be close with my family miles apart. Happy Birthday Mom! Love you ❤️
